WooCommerce operations and maintenance at fleet scale

SiteHelp Pro runs more than 20 production WooCommerce and WordPress storefronts, retail and wholesale, across managed hosting and self-managed cloud servers. A small senior team holds that volume because the routine work is written into documented, repeatable commands with monitoring layered on top. This is ongoing operations, not launch-and-leave. The daily order flow is the deliverable.

What fleet operations covers

Day-to-day work is standardized into runbooks and custom API tooling, so the same task runs the same way on every store in the fleet.

  • Staging release workflow. Changes are tested in a staging environment before they touch live revenue.
  • Database migrations. Including High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS) transitions on live stores, sequenced to avoid downtime.
  • SQL-layer performance. Order stats, customer lookup, and slow-query elimination worked directly at the database.
  • Incident response. Plugin conflict triage carried through to the root cause, not the first symptom that clears.
  • B2B wholesale. Account-based pricing storefronts operated alongside the retail channels.
  • Uptime monitoring and revenue reconciliation. Applied across the whole fleet, continuously.

Why database-level operations matter

WooCommerce reporting endpoints often disagree with what actually happened. Order storage migrations, timezone settings, and plugin conflicts each skew the built-in reports in their own way. We read revenue straight from the order statistics tables over SSH and WP-CLI, then reconcile it against the payment record. A store you cannot measure is a store you cannot operate. The portfolio figures published on this site are produced exactly that way, which is why we state them as verified minimums.

Hosting we operate on

WP Engine, SiteGround, Convesio, and self-managed cloud servers. The fleet is heterogeneous by design: we meet each store where it is hosted rather than forcing a replatform, and we migrate hosts without downtime when a move is justified. Monitoring runs around the clock. Senior-engineer response happens within defined windows that overlap the US business day.
